Vehicle Recovery F.A.Q's

  • Can I get a quote to recover my car?

    Yes. For Urgent Recovery please call Bakers Recovery on 01256 780950 option 1 and 1 again. Alternatively, for a non-urgent recovery, please complete the Non-Urgent Recovery Quote Form. 

  • How much does it cost to recover my car?

    Normally, recovery costs are calculated on a call out plus millage charge for the total distance. If the vehicle doesn't roll, or steer, or is difficult to access then this is more complex, so extra costs could be quoted and incurred.

  • How long will I have to wait for recovery?

    If you need recovery now, our typical ETA is 60 to 90 minutes.

  • When do I pay for recovery?

    You pay at time of booking by debit/credit card. If you choose to cancel after this we will refund you, but the call out charge may still apply if we are en-route.

  • If I have had an accident, can you deal direct with my insurance company?

    Yes. If we recover your vehicle into our storage compound after an accident, provided you are fully comprehensively insured we are happy for your insurance company to pay us directly.

  • What size of vehicles can Bakers recover?

    Bakers can recover all sizes of vehicle, from a motorbike to a heavy articulated truck and everything in between.

  • What hours can I get my vehicle recovered?

    For non-urgent recoveries we work Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. For emergency breakdowns and accident recovery we work 24/7.

     

  • Do you have a storage facility?

    Yes. If your car cannot be delivered straight away or has been involved in an accident and needs to be stored, we have secure storage at our depot in Oakley.
